My Sonnet

A week has gone by that you’re in the ground
As Kansas said we’re all dust in the wind
Your voice is all but a remembered sound
But it’s something I’d like to hear agin’
One day your memory will become unbound
However it will never be forgotten
All the tears shed would form an huge mound
From all those who miss you that were saddened
But eventually life will move in
And things will alter for the next round
Since the start this is what has always been
You would not want it taken with a frown
One day we’ll get to talk once more
Without these struggles and deplore
